Wanna buy a real iron man suit?

I just did some quick search trying to find somewhere to buy an iron man suit.

Here is what I find.

The result on Amazon surprise me but I was disappointed when I realized that it's just a 6 Inches figure similar as thoes you can find in hottoys. Of course, hottoy is on another much higher level.

Iron Man Suit paper crafts in reality

Find some real Iron Man Suit paper crafts on internet, it's really disappointed...

Iron Man Suit Mark 6 Paper Craft, relatively good but I dont think it can present the metal feeling after painting color on it. It has too many small plain faces which is due to the unbendable features in 2-dimension of paper.

another case. The articulation mechanism is not included in the blueprint so it must be crated by myself.Also, you can see large interspace in the inner side of the articulation so as to allow your arms and fingers to move normally. 

The front view and back view of the Iron Man helmet armor, this should be the Mark 6 VI. Still, you can see many split joints all over the face which should have been smooth and look strong.

It looks tolerable in photo but should be worse in reality. Paper is too soft although it is easy to handle. 

Will you wear that? I won't.

Too low level.

I need more powerful material to make my own DIY Iron Man Suit. It should be easy to handle and right to present the metal feeling.

Start to build a DIY Iron Man Suit

Week 1

Gather Iron Man Suit images, movie screen shots, video clips and paper craft blueprints, 3d models of all format.

I must say 3d models and 2d blueprints in pepakura are among the most useful.

Then I find those 1/6th scale Figurine from hottoys are critical for me to build details.

However, it's impossible to view all the details and angles of Iron Man suits on the photos although hottoys does present multiple excellent shots of its products.

Fortunately, I come across an 1/1th scale model of Iron Man helmet in a cinema. I took a video from as many angles as possible.


But soon after then still find I did miss several important details. The good news for me is that the cinema is near my office and I go there for shopping with my wife almost every weekend.

I have been dreaming wearing my own Iron Man Suits so I cannot wait to build it from scratch right away.
